Meet Miss Shandice

Miss Shandice has been inspiring dancers across Colorado's Western Slope since 2008, teaching students from Glenwood Springs to Parachute. With nearly two decades of experience, she has developed a reputation for creating positive, encouraging classrooms where dancers of every age and ability can grow with confidence.

She has extensive experience teaching dancers from preschool through adulthood and specializes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Hip Hop, and Acro. Whether introducing a preschooler to their very first dance class or refining advanced technique with experienced performers, Miss Shandice is passionate about helping every dancer reach their full potential while developing a lifelong love of dance.

As the founder and owner of Stellar Dance Collective, Miss Shandice is thrilled to launch the studio's inaugural season. Stellar Dance Collective is a performance-based dance studio built on the belief that exceptional training and a supportive community go hand in hand. By partnering with local recreation centers and independent studios throughout the region, Stellar is able to offer dancers access to outstanding facilities while making high-quality dance education more accessible to families across the Western Slope.

One of Miss Shandice's greatest passions is fostering collaboration rather than competition within the local dance community. She believes that dancers thrive when studios work together to create an environment that is welcoming, encouraging, and safe for every student. Her vision for Stellar Dance Collective is to help cultivate a dance culture where friendships are built, creativity flourishes, and every dancer feels valued.

Miss Shandice's commitment to excellence extends far beyond the classroom. She trained extensively throughout her youth with respected local instructors and has continued to expand her education through professional training opportunities, including studies with the Atlanta Ballet. She continues to pursue classical ballet education today, believing that great teachers are lifelong students. In addition, she is an Acrobatic Arts Certified instructor, providing students with safe, progressive, and technically sound acrobatic training that complements their dance education.

Above all, Miss Shandice believes dance is about so much more than learning steps. It is about building confidence, discipline, resilience, teamwork, and lasting friendships. She is dedicated to creating a place where every dancer is challenged to grow, encouraged to dream big, and celebrated for who they are.

When she's not in the studio, Miss Shandice enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. Together they love exploring the outdoors, camping, hiking, and making memories with family. Those same values of family, community, and connection are at the heart of everything she brings to Stellar Dance Collective.

Miss Shandice cannot wait to welcome dancers and families into the Stellar Dance Collective family and is excited to begin this incredible first season together.
